Day two was another perfect sunny fall day. Eric talked to us about making sure we made the flaxen fields light enough..it is a common painting problem to allow the ground to become too dark. We painted in the middle of the day and it was bright out there and a challenge to get the values right. We all worked diligently. It was an outstanding 2 days. Take a workshop with Eric if you get the chance!

Hi Celeste, Looks like you all had a great time! Interesting thoughts about the perception of foreground values. NIce painting....
What beauty you found both days. It had to have been really bright in the middle of the day--I guess he didn't have to tell you the squint.
Eric must be a wonderful teacher.
Good job on your painting with that light-filled flax looking just right. In the slide show, you are right there, close to Eric, intense and focused. A+! Can't wait to see these in person!
Hi Celeste,
thanks a lot for sharing the workshop as usual. Very nice of you. Nice scenary. I wonder what Elio Comacho would have done with it as He is a fantastic colorman. All the best
Log House is 64 square inches of excellence! I found myself squinting, so you must have captured the light perfectly...
