Oh wow, Celeste! This is so beautiful and makes me long for my days in the PNW. I don't know why I ever left, really. I miss it terribly! This is truly an exquisite palette and a fabulous composition. Your strokes just highlight the weather and that is amazing to me. Oh I so wish I could figure things out when it comes to my art! With all of your beautiful paintings that I have seen, I have loved each and every one. This one, however, moves to the very top of my list. I love rainy days, prefer them to sunshine and do not get the slightest bit depressed, even when 180+ days as we once had when I lived in WA. I will say that the common them in WA was that you couldn't be a true PNWer if you carried an umbrella! LOLOLOL
Celeste, this is another of your paintings that seems like an optical illusion. Seriously, I can not tell if this person is walking out of the picture or into the picture. Maybe that should be deemed some sort of flaw, but for some reason I like that I can't figure that out.
Once again, a beautiful, beautiful piece. God forbid you should ever live in a desert - what we would miss out on! I always love your rainy day pictures. I like the muted palette and your use of complimentary colors.
I love this sketch. I can hear the muted, splashing footsteps and smell the raindrops. Looking at it makes me feel all content and warm, curled up on a big soft cushion by a glowing fire.

Yucky weather, but beautiful painting study.
We had snow, and sang Christmas songs.
Love it, great movement.

Beautiful! I always love your watery scenes. You do it so, so well.

You make rain look wonderful, umbrellas become beautiful sculpture.
