Sometimes I like to paint the simplest things...the simpler the better! It's challenging to see if something "reads" with a minimum of strokes. I enjoy the nothingness surrounding this simple person. It's just an exercise and after it is dry it will likely go into the "11x14" box.

Hi Celeste. I like imagery like this, because then I can make up what the painting means. I think she is waiting for someone at the ice rink!

That's an impressive stack of banker's boxes with evidence of your hard work!
I can see that as one of your large paintings, Celeste. Don't put it in a box.
this person is a business person and htats an attachecase meet me for lunch!
Wow, you are organised! And the painting is good, i like a figure in isolation, it stimulates the viewers imagination..
mmm this figure would fit perfectly in our watercolor workshop today...people!!! and look at all those BOXES ...omg!! I would love to look inside:)
She looks very Russian to me:0
So that is the storage method. Excellent idea! I would like to root around in those boxes:):):)
I like the limited palette too. What happens to those that end up in the 11 x 14 box???
Love the less is more figure, Celeste!
Wow...Those boxes are a great testimony to your dedication!
really lovely painting.
Right off I agree with Dave Starr that I can see this as a big painting.
As impressed as I am with that stack of (organized) boxes, there is a desire to see how a special painting, like this one (and you have quite a few), could be developed.
I loved my old peacoat.
P.S. You're so organized it makes my teeth hurt.
Love the simplicity of this. Why in a box? BTW, when you clean out your boxes, just let me know!! :-)
You have the ability to breath life into just a few brushstrokes.
That is a talent that you either have or you don't. I don't think it is anything you can learn, it's a fingerprint of sorts.
Dang.....Check out those boxes. Storage problem for sure... I love the simpicity of the painting, very striking and a great pose.
